- Zero-Server Interaction: For tools labeled as "Local" or "Client-Side," the conversion or editing logic resides entirely within the static assets loaded by your browser. Once the page is loaded, you could theoretically disconnect from the internet and still finish your task.
- Unmatched Speed: Because there is no upload or download latency, your processing is limited only by your device's hardware speed. This allows for near-instantaneous results even for large, complex PDF documents.
- Secure Sandbox: The processing occurs within your browser's secure sandbox environment. Every file opened with the Service is given a unique identifier. We use that identifier to record annotations and edits you perform on the file within the Service. We do not retain copies of your files unless stored in your User Account Workspace, where files are automatically deleted after the designated retention period (7 days for Free accounts, and 30 days for Premium subscribers).
6. Cloud Storage Integration
Storing your files with a cloud storage provider makes it easier and more secure to use the Service. Your files are even safer if you open files directly from your cloud storage provider. All connections with cloud storage providers (such as Google Drive, Dropbox, and Box) are encrypted via industry-standard OAuth 2.0 authentication.
We do not gain access to your entire library; we only access the specific file metadata and content required to perform the action you have requested within the PDF CHACHA interface.
7. Global Security Measures
PDF CHACHA takes appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to, or unauthorized alteration, disclosure, or destruction of, data. This includes internal reviews of our data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures, including appropriate encryption and physical security measures to guard against unauthorized access to systems where we store personal data.
